Vice President, Union Health Solutions
will spearhead AffirmedRx’s partnerships with Taft-Hartley groups and labor organizations, delivering tailored pharmacy benefit strategies. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep union expertise, healthcare knowledge, and a proven ability to build meaningful relationships within the labor community. What you will do: Strategic Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture partnerships with Taft-Hartley groups, unions, and related organizations Develop strategies to address the specific needs and challenges of labor organizations, ensuring alignment with the AffirmedRx mission
Union-Focused Engagement:
Act as a trusted advisor to union leaders, providing consultative support and innovative pharmacy benefit solutions tailored to their membership Serve as a liaison between union organizations and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of solutions
Industry Expertise:
Leverage extensive knowledge of the union landscape, including collective bargaining agreements and healthcare benefits, to craft impactful strategies Monitor trends and regulatory changes impacting Taft-Hartley groups to inform and adjust strategies as needed
Pipeline Creation and Management:
Leverage relationships to generate lead flow and “pull-through” opportunities with union organizations and member groups Collaborate with cross-functional teams to move opportunities through the sales pipeline, from identification to close
Thought Leadership and Advocacy:
Represent AffirmedRx at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements, advocating for innovative pharmacy benefit management tailored to union populations Contribute thought leadership on key issues affecting union health benefits Partner with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to align on strategies and ensure the delivery of exceptional service to union clients Provide insights from the union community to inform product development and strategic initiatives
Operational Excellence:
Maintain detailed records of partner interactions, opportunities, and outcomes in Salesforce (SFDC) Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activities and progress toward strategic goals
What you need: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, healthcare management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred 15+ years’ experience working with unions, Taft-Hartley groups, or related organizations, with a deep understanding of their structure and needs Strong knowledge of healthcare benefits, collective bargaining agreements, and labor market dynamics Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships within the union community Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels Strategic thinker with a consultative approach to partnership development and problem-solving Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite Experience in pharmacy benefit management or a related healthcare field preferred Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50%) What you get: To impact industry change in the pharmacy benefits management space, while delivering the highest quality patient outcomes To work in a culture where people thrive because when OUR team thrives, OUR business thrives Competitive compensation, including equity, with health, dental vision and other benefits Note: AffirmedRx is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
