Summary: To collaborate and work with special education teachers to support students using data to guide and monitor instruction and interventions.

Qualifications: Certification/License Fully certified teacher with a current Illinois Professional Educator License (LBS1 Preferred, Type 73 School Psychologist or School Social Worker). Successful experience teaching students with disabilities for three (3) or more years. Experience developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Job Responsibilities:

Disseminate information from district office to building level staff regarding IEP compliance, local or district initiatives, and priorities at the federal, state, and regional level as related to special education services. Work collaboratively with others to provide clear, consistent and compliant information about instruction to support students with IEPs. Ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams Ability to facilitate problem solving teams and IEP meetings Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) for student meetings related to a student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Provide technical assistance and training in IEP implementation and compliance. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, school and district regarding least restrictive environment (LRE), student placements and continuum of services. Review IEPs for compliance issues and collaborate with staff to make necessary changes. Assist teams with analyzing student data to improve student outcomes. Support testing accommodation set up for all students that are provided accommodations. Assist teams on collaboration with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and success of student in the general education classroom Support staff in developing IEPS using data in all areas of decision-making. Meets established goals and objectives for allocated projects within designated timeframes. Demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of students and staff Support District committees, as needed

Equipment Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machine, and telephone..

Travel Requirements Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
