Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst - Real Estate

Position Summary: The Sr. Data Analyst - Real Estate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets related to real estate markets in support of the REO, Private Seller, and Closing departments. This role involves developing and maintaining KPI dashboards, reports, and presentations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for evaluating and analyzing data, interacting with a variety of people, and bringing meaningful insights to create solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, Product, Business Intelligence, Operations, and customer service / call center, to implement process improvements and track the impact of changes.
  • Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by maintaining and updating databases and data systems. Implement data quality control measures to ensure the reliability of data.
  • KPI Reporting: Focus on the accurate and timely reporting of KPIs. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to track performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Cross Functional Team Participation: Act as primary liaison between core operations, Product, Call Center, and IT/BI groups. Interface with operation and change management group to ensure that business changes are implemented properly.
  • Business Process Analysis: Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions. Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the real estate and/or default servicing and mortgage industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization from entry level through senior executive.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This role will support multiple internal teams and require excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Specific Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • SQL / AWS Athena: Highly skilled in SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant data.
  • Excel: Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization including extraction of data via ODBC connection.
  • Power BI: Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI to create interactive and insightful dashboards.
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot: Skilled in using Microsoft 365 Copilot to boost productivity and streamline tasks in Office applications.
  • Salesforce: Familiarity with Salesforce for managing and analyzing customer data.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Experience with MLS data and real estate market analysis.
  • Experience and understanding of how Python can be used in data analysis or automation
  • Knowledge of real estate market trends and metrics.
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
