Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Contracts to join our team and oversee the entire contract lifecycle within our dynamic organization. This role will report directly to the General Counsel and manage a team responsible for negotiating, drafting, reviewing, executing, and closing contracts. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical distribution and/or manufacturing industry, with a proven ability to navigate complex contracts in regulated environments. This position will play a key role in mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and aligning business strategies with contractual goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Contracts team, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of contract negotiations, drafting, and closeout. Collaborate closely with corporate leadership to drive business growth and ensure alignment between contract terms and business objectives. Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of various contract types, including Distribution Agreements, NDAs, GPO Agreements, Purchase Orders, Vendor Agreements, Sales and Purchasing Agreements, Licensing Agreements, and Service Agreements. Provide legal support for key business initiatives and risk management efforts, ensuring contracts protect the company’s interests. Develop and implement efficient contract management processes, driving continuous improvements in workflows and templates. Maintain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring smooth collaboration across business units. Act as a strategic business partner, advising on contractual matters that drive business success while mitigating potential risks. Lead the Contracts team, ensuring all resources are allocated efficiently to meet contract timelines and objectives. Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school or Master’s degree with significant experience in contract management, particularly within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industries. At least 10 years of relevant legal experience, with 5 years in a leadership role managing contracts or legal teams. Expertise in complex contract negotiations and drafting, particularly in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors. Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, from negotiation to closeout, with a focus on regulatory compliance. Familiarity with contract management platforms (e.g., ConvergePoint) is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence business outcomes through effective communication. Skills

Proven leadership and management skills with experience leading a contracts or legal team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication, drafting, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate with senior leadership to achieve business objectives.
