DescriptionChevo is currently hiring a Junior Business Analyst to join our expanding firm. This position will provide the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client's business and to become a trusted advisor. This candidate will help the IRS ensure strategic plans, modernization efforts and infrastructure projects are well-planned and managed to successful completion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to process and procedural planning, capital planning, and program governance. Client location, New Carrollton, MD. This position is remote, with occasional client onsite engagement expected periodically. Duties and Responsibilities:Helps document plans, policies, and proceduresMeets with client staff to understand needs and develop automated reporting solutionsContributes to successful program communications with stakeholdersHelps facilitate customer and Chevo team meetingsMonitors, measures, assesses and reports performance metrics for IRS modernization programsCreates status reports, both internally and to the client; and provides support for OMB, agency, and bureau data callsAssists investment owners in the development of Business CasesAssists in entering investment information into appropriate Portfolio Management toolHelps develop integrated expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations to support strategic outlook based on budget estimates and timelinesReview and manage client communication, deliverables, and project milestonesTakes on other tasks to ensure timely and quality submission of deliverablesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field One to four (1-4) years' experienceDemonstrated analytical skills - assertive and inquisitive manner to capture data and information, and transform it into actionable progress reportsProficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, attention to detail, experience in the creation of complex data reports and analysisAbility to pass client security clearance requirementsStrong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clientsDesired Qualifications:Prior experience supporting IRS IT programsActive IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plusFamiliar with the Agile software development methodologyExperience with Federal government acquisition strategy, capital planning, investment management, and IT strategic planningKnowledge of Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC)Demonstrated use of collaboration toolsSkill using Microsoft ProjectSALARY RANGE: $68,500 - $80,000ELIGIBLE FOR PERFORMANCE BASE BONUSChevo offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, paid leave, observes all 11 federal government holidays, 401K plan with matching, monthly SMART card employer contribution for commuting expenses, tuition assistance and more!Chevo, a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), has made Consulting Magazine's 2023 and 2024 "Best Firms to Work For" list and is a 2023 Elev8 GovCon honoree.
