Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in the recruitment process, working closely with business leaders to understand hiring goals and implementing effective strategies to meet current and future talent needs. The main responsibilities of this role include full-cycle recruiting for salaried positions, overseeing hourly openings, developing proactive recruiting approaches, and training leaders on recruiting best practices. The specialist is responsible for sourcing and pipelining both active and passive candidates using various methods such as internal databases, job boards, social media, and referrals. The Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process and plays a critical role in finding and attracting top talent to support the company's growth and success.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Consults with business leaders to understand hiring goals, and develops and executes unique hiring strategies to meet current and future needs. Full-cycle recruiting for salaried employees across corporate and field management - includes job postings, conducting phone/video interviews, evaluating candidates, extending offers, and completing the hiring process. Oversee number of hourly openings and partner with store managers to develop a proactive recruiting approach. Partner with Store Managers and District Managers to provide hiring solutions based on priority level. Assist in training Store Managers to recruit their own hourly team members Sourcing and pipelining active and passive candidates using several methodologies such as internal databases, job boards, social media, referrals, etc. for current and future career opportunities in stores. Promote career opportunities and recruiting events on social media platforms to drive traffic to company careers page, open positions, and events. Recommend and develop new recruitment strategies to determine new ways to promote career opportunities to new candidates. Collaborate with Store and District Managers to maintain store roster staffing needs. Network and build relationships with colleges and universities to attract high-caliber talent for store or corporate opportunities. Ensure the best candidate experience via all candidate communications, processes and interactions to uphold the company brand. Meet store operational deadlines by fully staffing new stores as they prepare to open around the country. Fulfill recruiting goals and metrics, and report recruiting efforts on a weekly basis. Participate in department meetings and lead focused projects, as assigned. Requirements:
1-3 years of prior recruiting experience required Experience using ATS tools, candidate databases, and social media to attract, manage and track candidate activity. Prior experience in creatively sourcing passive and active candidates independently. Negotiation skills and ability to use sound judgment when identifying talent. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail. Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally. Understanding of HR practices and labor laws.
