Position: Oracle DBA with Exadata Experience

Locations: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: Contract

Job Description:

Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in managing Exadata environments, including storage administration, Smart Scan, and Exadata-specific features. Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) deployment, Configuring Baseline situations, monitoring and management tools. Experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer Solid understanding of database security principles (E.g.: TDE) and best practices. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Shell, Python) for automation and task scripting. Manage, administer, and maintain all Oracle databases hosted on Exadata infrastructure. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patches on Exadata systems. Experienced in Managing DR databases, RAC and any other HADR solutions for Oracle Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and efficiency. Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and data masking. Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for Exadata databases, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues. Conduct capacity planning and resource utilization analysis for Oracle / Exadata environments. Knowledge on latest Oracle and Exadata technologies and best practices. Participate in the planning and execution of database migrations, upgrades, and consolidation projects. Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Oracle, AWS Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Cloud practitioner) are a plus. Location Requirement - Los Angeles (3 days/week onsite)
