DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
Produce accurate and timely print and online documentation to assist Product Support Technicians and customers with ordering replacement parts, troubleshooting products, and installation instructions, as well as creating and maintaining labels and illustrations for technical documents
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
•Create and maintain Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs), troubleshooting guides, and installation instructions and all associated drawings using any combination Documoto, Adobe desktop publishing tools including, but not limited to, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
•Create and maintain labels and illustrations for technical documents
•Perform document content research and multi-task for Engineering, Product Management and Technical Service
•Compile and maintain electronic and mechanical information for use in IPBs, troubleshooting guides, installation instructions, and any other documentation that is necessary for the technical and operational support of our products and component parts
•Create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to create or revise IPBs, troubleshooting guides, installation instruction, and labels in Agile Project Management
•Participate in Bill of Materials (BOMs) verification breakdowns as needed
•Collaborate with Engineers, Product Management, Technical Service, and Manufacturing Engineering as needed
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Read and comprehend work instructions and BOMs
•Identify mechanical and electrical parts, and hardware
•Use hand tools and standard power tools
Must have:

•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel and Adobe desktop publishing software including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
•Basic mathematical skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent web navigation skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
•Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel and Adobe Desktop Publishing software including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred
•Basic understanding of electro-mechanical schematics preferred
•Basic familiarity with SolidWorks 3D geometry renderings preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 1 year of experience in technical writing, Graphic Design, or Desktop Publishing OR, in lieu of experience, an associate degree or higher in a field related to Graphic Design or Technical Writing
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 3 years of experience in technical writing or a technical service role experience preferred
•At least 1 year of Graphic Design or Desktop Publishing and Layout experience preferred
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
•High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION
•Associate Degree in Graphic Design or Technical Writing related field preferred
