JOB SUMMARY As a California licensed PE, you will be responsible for project management (scope, schedule, and budget), preparing engineering reports and analyses, designing and preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of Public Works projects. Assignments will include mentoring less-experienced team members. In this role, you will also be responsible for obtaining new business (seller-doer). CIVIL SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
JOB DUTIES Concurrently manage a variety of civil engineering Public Works projects. Track project scope, budgets, and schedules to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments and profitability. Conduct business development and create proposals and presentations. Effectively manage quality assurance and quality control. Prepare PSandE for transportation (roadway and intersection widening, street rehab, streetscape improvements, complete streets, etc.), storm drain (hydrology and hydraulics), and water quality BMPs. Interface with clients on project coordination and design to ensure quality standards are met, efficiency levels are maintained, and client satisfaction is assured. Direct and mentor project engineers and design engineers on technical matters and procedures. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college. A California P.E. license in Civil Engineering. Minimum 15 years’ experience in Civil Engineering specifically pertaining to Public Works projects. Minimum 8 years of project management experience pertaining to Public Works projects. Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team and direct reports. Experience in business development. Strong relationships with local agencies. A proven track record and strong desire to provide superior client service and delivery. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time within budget. Experience in staff management, mentoring, and resource management. WE OFFER
