Hardware Engineering Support Specialist Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support. Job Description: Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Requirements: Coordinating and tracking engineering material orders Periodic reporting of material status Coordinating engineering material dispositioning Maintaining inventory of engineering material Document/file management Gathering cost data for pricing evaluations Coordinating meetings, taking minutes/actions, help drive closure of actions Ad hoc tasks Desired Skills: Strong organizational skills Document management skills Strong communication and reporting skills Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Independent worker, minimal supervision, able to oversee/delegate work to support staff Preferred Skills: Knowledge of material requirements planning Experience with SAP or other Material Resource Planning tools Experience with Bills of Materials Additional Requirements: Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen. High School level or equivalent education and/or some job experience or related degree. Willingness to work overtime and off shift, if needed.
