OVERVIEW:
The DV Advocate is responsible for providing evidence-based group interventions to victims of domestic violence and their children or families.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Client Services: Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, counseling, de-escalation, transportation, advocacy, information, referrals and supportive services:
Facilitate evidence-based Kids Club and Mom's Empowerment group curriculum to non-residential and residential clients Conduct client program enrollment. Conduct behavioral health screenings with clients and make appropriate referrals for services outside of CWF scope Engage in bi-weekly meetings with grant team regarding project goals, outcomes, and timeline Support the essential daily living needs of individuals experiencing homelessness due to intimate partner violence and/or sexual assault in a 24/7 emergency shelter. They actively assess the needs of the shelter community, while managing a caseload of clients working toward self-directed goals, under direct supervision. Documentation: Document prompt and timely interactions with clients and other relevant activities to examine program goals and outcomes and support continuous improvement, including the following tasks:
Maintain daily written, verbal, and electronic communication. Record client interactions in appropriate databases. Participate in grant performance submissions. Collaborate with program staff on clients entering emergency shelter.

Education: Bachelor's degree.
