to determine if you qualify. What You Will Be Doing Are you ready to take on a role in the Office of Information Technology that is a dynamic and innovative environment? Join our team as a Senior Web Application Engineer, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and mentor on a variety of projects while you help shape the future of our enterprise IT infrastructure. Take charge of complex projects and guide them from conception to completion! Design cutting-edge web applications and systems, develop, test, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure systems such as myAlaska, BEACHES, address verification service, online public notices, Confluence, and so much more. Hone those skills in infrastructure management by installing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of data center infrastructure systems, predominantly Microsoft Server and SQL-based technologies, but also including other OS and web technologies. Convert design specifications into program code, data schemes, unit tests, property files, technical documentation, and other software artifacts. Develop unit tests, functional tests, and test execution environments to ensure high-quality software. Demonstrate software functionality to customers and peers, ensuring it meets their needs and expectations. Minimum Qualifications

Infrastructure Design: Knowledge of the architecture and typology of software, hardware, and networks, including LANS, WANS, and telecommunications systems, their components and associated protocols and standards, and how they operate and integrate with one another and with associated controlling software. Operating Systems: Knowledge of computer network, desktop, and mainframe operating systems and their applications. Systems Integration: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures for installing, integrating, and optimizing information systems components. Systems Testing and Evaluation: Knowledge of principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing systems testing and evaluation procedures and technical characteristics of IT systems, including identifying critical operational issues. Equivalent to those typically gained by training in computer science, information technology, system administration, or a similar field and professional experience in database, network, or system administration.
