Accounting Manager
We’re seeking an Accounting Manager at our Corporate Plano, IL office. This individual will assist with AP/AR, tax filings, forecasting and other reporting. If you enjoy building new processes, solving problems and bringing efficiency to current processes, this role is for you!
Manage accounts receivable function:
- Generate customer invoices
- Accounting experience in Manufacturing a plus
- Communicate with customers concerning past due amounts
- Process customer payments
- Public accounting
- Process sales tax filings
Manage accounts payable function:
- Post vendor invoices
- Process payments
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close process
- Post recurring and nonrecurring journal entries
Develop cash flow analysis and forecasting
Provide support for financial results to help identify relevant trends and key drivers
Assist in the development of internal cost allocation methodologies and customer profitability models
Manage inventory:
- Reconcile inventory monthly
- Oversee cycle counts
- Assist with the implementation of efficient inventory management procedures
Assist with analytical management reporting, including ad hoc requests, to help provide the organization a deeper understanding of cost changes
Identify process improvements to reduce process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality, and enhance information provided to management
Assist with annual financial statement audit and bank examinations
Coordinate facility maintenance, including ordering office and warehouse/shipping supplies
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures including invoicing and e-commerce transactions
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting system
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Desire to grow with the business
- Passion for efficiency and automation
- Self-Starter who understands process improvement and can anticipate what needs to be done
- Can work independently or with a team
- At least 7 years of experience in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of transactions
- Knowledge in California and Oregon tax laws.
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
