Regional HSE Specialist - Permian Basin Area

The Regional HSE Specialist supports local Field and Shop Operations in establishing and continuously improving HSE culture within an assigned geographic region, large business unit or across multiple business units.

Responsibilities:

To develop managers' awareness and ensure HSE is an integral part of operation’s responsibilities and objectives. To assist operations in:

Understanding and Implementing the HSE Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Monitoring HSE objectives. Liaising with local customers, contractors, and agencies regarding HSE. Assessing the local risks. Field and shop inspections Monitoring HSE compliance to policies, standards and procedures. Plan and assist in compliance audits and self-audits

To advise management on corrective action required. To coordinate and actively participate in the HSE training of all personnel, including contractors. To ensure that the relevant HSE documentation is updated and available. To ensure compliance with regulatory organizations and all applicable state and federal laws. To perform and assist with incident investigations and 'root cause' analysis. To develop and maintain a high level of awareness among all personnel through communications, training, and promoting active involvement of employees in HSE. To recommend improvements to the HSE program. 100% travel within assigned region/s

Qualifications:

Post-secondary certification/degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Safety & Health management systems within the natural gas services industry Maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record satisfactory to Company requirements Good computer skills Self-driven, Proactive Ability to work independently Strong communication skills and a team-player Job location can be based anywhere in the Permian Basin area.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds Ability to work in changing climate conditions The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
