Job Announcement
Supports our Behavioral Health Outpatient & Case Management Services Division. You will work as part of and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team providing adult outpatient community based mental health services to residents of the Fairfax-Falls Church catchment area. Provides clinical and administrative supervision to a Behavioral Health and Outpatient (BHOP) Team, while reviewing customer service and addressing concerns as they arise. Provides quality assurance, reviews charts to meet state and federal standards, assures billing adherence and arranges hiring panel interviews to include training new staff. Also facilitates weekly multi-disciplinary meetings, supervises day-to-day program operations, conducts annual performance reviews and career development plans, implements disciplinary steps as appropriate, participates in site management, and provides coverage for BHOP manager as needed. Provides supervision of and direct services to a complex and multi-cultural population of adult persons age 18+, with co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, severe mental illness, and developmental delays.
The incumbent should have expert level skills in risk and bio-psycho-social assessments, crisis intervention, case management, therapy, and evidence based clinical interventions. Additionally, they should have knowledge of the CSB, county, and community resources. Collaborates with client/family/care providers, with strong engagement and outreach skills. Be able to conduct outreach and engagement with private community providers and hospitals and have strong presentation skills.
This announcement may be used for multiple positions at CSB, with an immediate need to fill two supervisor positions: one for the BHOP Gartlan Mental Health Case Management/Outpatient team and the second for the BHOP Gartlan Intensive Stabilization Unit. The Intensive Stabilization Unit specializes in care of acute or symptomatic individuals transitioning back into the community or at risk of hospitalization. The teams operate a milieu-based program currently in-person 3 days per week for 3-4 hours per day, in addition to case management services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or equivalent in another state) and must be maintained throughout employment with Community Services Board.
- Current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following:

- Clinical Psychologist,
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist,
- Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or
- Clinical Nurse Specialist.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer.
