Max Payrate: $21/hr on W2

Onsite Job: Maintenance Janitor 1 / Custodian
Work Location: Northridge, CA
Duration: 06+ Months Contract
Shift Timings: M-Th 7-4:30 (30 minute lunch) working Friday 7-3:30
Work Schedule: 9/80 (Mon-Fri)
High school diploma or GED required
4+ years of Custodian /Janitor experience
Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Job Description:

• Client is seeking a responsible Custodian to maintain our facilities at our Northridge facilities.
• The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian/janitor to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises.
• The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleaning and upkeep.
• They will have the physical endurance required to cover a large space.
• A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.).
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors.
• Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department.
• Other duties as assigned..

Requirements:

• Previous custodial experience required.
• Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work.
• Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Good physical condition and strength.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 4 years custodial work experience
