Description
The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring and work areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans and maintains assigned areas, including guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, public areas, and back-of-house areas, ensuring established standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met.
Complies with all department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal control, and safety regulations.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors regularly to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
Dust and wipe surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and baseboards, to maintain a clean and attractive appearance.
Empties trash receptacles and replace liners as necessary.
Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops, replenishing supplies as needed.
Restocks housekeeping carts with clean linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies.
Responds to guest requests for extra amenities or services promptly and courteously.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager immediately.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Position Requirements
Must be 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED. At least 1-year experience in corporate housekeeping or a related field is a plus
Possesses good communication, organizational and guest service skills. Knowledge of equipment used such as: Hand held radios, vacuum machines and linen carts.
