POSTION TITLE: Assistant Housekeeping Manager

REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Assistant Manager
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
If you are interested in moving out of the city and looking for a work/life balance, Rough Creek Lodge (RCL) and Resort is 90 miles from Downtown Dallas and 70 miles from Downtown Fort Worth. RCL is a five-star Hotel and Restaurant (see www.roughcreek.com). We offer a 5 day work week, 2 weeks vacation after one year, personal days, health insurance, matching 401(k) and shift meals. On-site housing for the right individual is available.
POSITION PURPOSE:
To ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms, cabins and, houses as well as the public areas at Rough Creek Lodge.
To ensure proper inventory of all supplies necessary to the execution of the task of cleaning the areas listed.
To ensure the proper staffing and training to accomplish the goal of maintaining the level of cleanliness as outlined by Rough Creek Lodge.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Assistant Manages and is responsible for all housekeeping staff including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and training.
- Conduct yourself as a leader for all staff.
- Inspects each room, cabin, and guest house during and after staff has cleaned, giving coaching and guidance so that any possible deficiencies are corrected.
- Coordinates and supervises laundry service.
- Coordinates and supervises the laundry program to ensure room linen is picked up and delivered accordingly.
- Physically cleans and maintains guest rooms, cabins, and guest houses.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel or hospital housekeeping management
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Use of email communication.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful, but not required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- This position will commensurate based on skill level with a minimum hourly pay starting at $20 per hour.
