Houston Marriott Westchase Hotel is looking to hire an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team!

Position Summary: As a PM Housekeeping Supervisor you play a crucial role in ensuring an attractive and well-maintained hotel by inspecting guest rooms to ensure it meets hotel standards. This individual is a proactive solution seeker, leading by example, and continuously encourages and engages team members. The successful candidate has a can-do attitude and will jump in where assistance is needed.
Scheduling: This is a Full-Time position that requires working 3:00 - 11:30 PM, with open availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs. The schedule will change weekly to support business demands and operational requirements.

Specifically, this role will be responsible for the overall support to the operations of the housekeeping department, including but not limited to:
- Provide leadership and direction for all housekeeping and laundry activities for the hotel to ensure the highest level of cleanliness for both the guest rooms and public areas.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, & heart of the house for cleanliness.
- Train and motivate team members.
- Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program.
- Maintain supply and linen inventories.
- Update room statuses in the computer.
- Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, & friendly manner.
- Complete ongoing required training and development to maximize potential.
- Follow company procedures and follow required best practices and exceed brand standards.

The hotel operates seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. All employees, both management and hourly, should be aware of this fact and that at times it may be necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift as business demands, and assist in other departments and/or job functions as needed and requested by management.
Qualifications:
This position requires strong communication skills and at least 2 years as a rooms inspector and supervisor, preferably in a hotel.
- Must have at least (2) years experience working in a hotel housekeeping department in a lead or supervisory role.
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language sufficient to understand job directions, read documents, and communicate with guest and staff.
- Ability to lift, carry and move linens/objects, weighing up to 50 lbs; able to push, pull cart without assistance up to 200 lbs.
- Must be able to spend the majority of the day, up to the entire 8 hour shift, walking, with repetitive twisting, bending, side-to-side movement, pushing and pulling.
- General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safety preferred.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Must be capable of staying calm and professional while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
- Must be about to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as they arise.
- Able to work well in stressful high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency when needed.
- Able to extend arms; with frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, squatting, and stooping.
