Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans and military personnel? IronArch is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives within our Military Health and Veterans Affairs business.
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our reputation and expanding our business pipeline. You'll be responsible for driving success in the Digital Services space by executing a robust business development (BD) process, maintaining a high win probability, and cultivating opportunities within the Veterans Administration (VA) and Military Health agencies.
The selected individual will be held accountable for identification, qualification and capture of business development opportunities as well as the generation of qualified pipeline growth necessary to meet or exceed the IronArch's Digital Services and Veterans Affairs forecast and plan. In addition, this individual will plan and recommend BD and marketing strategies to achieve maximum customer and market penetration and to drive tactical and strategic growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Perform market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
- Collaborate with program managers and leadership to develop and execute strategic call plans and detailed follow-up activities.
- Develop and write white papers and other thought leadership materials to support business development initiatives and position IronArch as an industry leader.
- Support the assigned Capture Manager and Proposal Development lead for selected opportunities, either all the way to award or in the early capture phase.
- Lead the IronArch business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal reviews.
- Partner with program managers, solution architects, and functional support personnel to drive customer engagement and cross-enterprise objectives.
- Align strategic planning and capture activities with business development metrics for awards, submissions, and pipeline growth.
- Interact routinely with various levels of management, functional leads, other staff, and customers.
- Brief business development status to senior management when material changes occur and as required by the IronArch business development process.
- Must be willing to travel to relevant conferences and customer meetings.
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or related field, and 5 years of experience in a Business Development position. Equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including wins across various acquisition sizes.
- Established relationships with key customers and industry partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead BD activities, including building teams, evaluating win probabilities, and executing customer engagement plans.
- Prior experience supporting business development and capture efforts for Veterans Affairs and other Military Health organizations
- A college degree in business or technology is highly desired.
- Experience with federal government budget, investments and acquisition processes.
- Ability to gain internal support and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers across IronArch.
- Strong connections within Veterans Affairs, including the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and related Digital Services Program communities.
- Self-starter and ability to manage time independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to operate at senior levels, influence stakeholders, and close deals.
