Mascot Performer - Part Time

Job Title: Part-Time Mascot - Stomper Location: Avon, OH Organization: Lake Erie Crushers - Minor League Baseball Team Position Type: Part-Time

Position Overview:

The Lake Erie Crushers are looking for an energetic, fun, and outgoing individual to bring our beloved mascot, Stomper, to life! As a part-time mascot, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and exciting atmosphere for fans, representing the Crushers at games, special events, and community appearances. This position requires an individual who loves to engage with people, has a great sense of humor, and enjoys being the center of attention while promoting a positive image of the Crushers organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Game Day Appearances:
• Perform as Stomper during home games at the Crushers Stadium, entertaining fans, leading crowd cheers, and participating in on-field activities and promotions.
• Interact with fans of all ages, providing high-energy entertainment and creating memorable experiences during games.
• Assist with pre-game and in-game activities such as contests, giveaways, and fan engagement moments.

Community Outreach:

• Represent Stomper at various community events, school visits, parades, charity functions, and corporate sponsorship appearances.
• Attend events outside of game days to build relationships with local fans, businesses, and organizations, promoting the Crushers and supporting community outreach programs.
• Promotional Events & Marketing:
• Participate in promotional events designed to increase team visibility and fan engagement.
• Assist with mascot-related social media posts, photos, and videos to increase community interaction and excitement.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Crushers marketing and game day staff to ensure mascot appearances align with team goals, fan engagement efforts, and sponsorship activations.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure mascot appearances and activities are well planned and executed.

Requirements:

• Energetic and Outgoing Personality: Must be comfortable performing in front of large crowds and engaging with fans of all ages.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including wearing the full mascot costume for extended periods, dancing, interacting with fans, and participating in active games and promotions.
• Creative & Fun: A creative thinker who can develop fun and entertaining ways to interact with fans, especially children, while promoting the Crushers brand.
• Dependability: Must be punctual and reliable for game days and community events.
• Experience: Previous mascot, performance, or entertainment experience is a plus, but not required.
• Flexible Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
