The Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group (LLUFMG), Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a General Pediatrician for a position in the San Bernardino County Public Health Clinics located in Adelanto and Hesperia. We are affiliated with the SAC Health System, San Bernardino County Public Health, California Children’s Services Clinic, and Inland Regional Center, offering various dimensions of outpatient practice.

The clinic hours for Adelanto are 8 am to 5 pm, while Hesperia operates from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. It is anticipated that the selected candidate would spend 3 days per week at the Hesperia clinic and 1.5 days at the Adelanto clinic.

Location Overview

The San Bernardino County Public Health Clinics in Adelanto and Hesperia are Federally Qualified Health Centers, offering specific opportunities for loan repayment. In these clinics, physicians not only have the unique chance to provide care to underserved children from the “High Desert” region, including foster children, but also engage in Quality Improvement (QI) projects. The expected patient load is 5-8 patients per half-day.

Loma Linda Children’s Hospital is a 364-bed facility, which includes a 25-bed PICU, 60-bed NICU, 14-bed Pediatric cardiac ICU and pediatric inpatient units. Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital is the largest tertiary care referral center for the Inland Empire that spans Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono Counties.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only based on a 1.0 FTE, and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $215,000- $225,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
