Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist

Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a full-time Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant cardiologist to join the section of Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Transplant.  Candidates for this position should be Board certified (or eligible for certification) in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and/or have well-established expertise in the care of patients with heart failure and transplant.  Candidates from all career stations are welcomed to apply. Mid-career candidates with a minimum of 4-5 years on faculty may additionally be considered for a Director of Clinical Heart Failure position, to direct and oversee expansion and ongoing development of our rapidly growing inpatient and outpatient heart failure programs. The Director of Clinical Heart Failure will report to the Section Director for Heart Failure & Transplantation. All candidates should be enthusiastic about joining a busy academic program that values multidisciplinary clinical care, medical education and research.  

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, and with satellite locations throughout the region, Vanderbilt’s Heart Failure/Transplant Program includes 14 heart failure/transplant cardiologists, 6 heart transplant/VAD surgeons and a large team of heart failure nurses and advanced practice providers.  The HF and cardiomyopathy clinics, including subspecialty clinics in cardiac amyloid, cardiac sarcoid and genetic cardiomyopathy, conduct nearly 11,000 visits annually and help to support one of the highest volume heart transplant programs in the world.
