A Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing and facilitating a company's Fleet operations. They ensure that products, materials, and goods are transported and stored efficiently while meeting delivery deadlines and cost constraints. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to handle unforeseen shipping issues or delays.
salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Order Management:
Coordinate and track the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses, production facilities, and customers. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Schedule and manage deliveries to meet customer expectations. Transportation Coordination:
Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight carriers, and internal teams. Arrange for the timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Handle customs documentation and compliance for international shipments. Inventory and Warehouse Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, locations, and status. Coordinate warehouse storage and ensure products are stored properly. Work with warehouse staff to organize incoming and outgoing shipments. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations. Ensure shipping and receiving documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Provide regular reports on shipping, costs, and delivery performance. Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:
Address shipment delays, damaged goods, or other logistics issues. Investigate and resolve complaints related to delivery and service performance. Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions in the supply chain
The essential functions of this role include: wearing steel toe shoes working in a non-temperature controlled environment working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
