Job Description
We are seeking a
TS/SCI CI Polygraph
cleared Linux Systems Engineer to support a critical enterprise-level identity and access management program. This role will involve understanding and enhancing the services provided to partner organizations, contributing to systems engineering throughout the product lifecycle, and leveraging both technical and functional insights to deliver solutions that align with customer needs.
This role is 100% on-site in Chantilly, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based solutions to meet evolving customer requirements. Address and resolve operational challenges as they arise, conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues, and create a feedback mechanism for development teams. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to monitor system metrics, assess system performance, and implement preventative measures to ensure reliable operation. Oversee deployments and serve as an SME on products, providing support and troubleshooting for automation scripts and playbooks as necessary. Manage multiple environments as a Linux expert, collaborating with Enterprise Services to maintain security compliance across applications and services. Required Qualifications:
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 4-6 years of experience in Systems Administration or a similar technical capacity. Self-motivated and proactive with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Minimum of two years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) components such as S3, EC2, and Reserved Instances. Proficient in creating system engineering documentation, including network diagrams and data flow mappings. Strong background in Linux and expertise in infrastructure management best practices. Experience with Agile collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, BitBucket). Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Oracle products (e.g., Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Unified Directory). Hands-on experience with Kubernetes. Knowledge of Elastic tools (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Logstash). Strong understanding of AWS and other cloud services, particularly in balancing technical performance with cost efficiency. Experience with cloud architectures and cross-domain systems. Skilled in automated testing and system monitoring. Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management processes.
