Overview
As the Vice President of Business Development, you will lead and oversee and execute strategic initiatives to expand the company's market presence and drive revenue growth. You will communicate closely with executive ownership and management constantly and present new business opportunities, develop and implement growth strategies based on executive directives.
Strategic Planning : Formulating and executing business store development strategies that align with the
company's overall goals and objectives.
Market Analysis : Conducting comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and
competitive threats.
Partnership Development : Building and nurturing relationships with potential partners, vendors, and other
stakeholders to drive business opportunities.
Expansion Initiatives : Identifying and evaluating new store locations, managing the site selection process,
and overseeing the entire development process (design, permitting, construction) of new development.
Team Leadership : Leading and mentoring a team of business development professionals, setting
performance goals, and ensuring effective execution of strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Working closely with other departments such as operations, planning,
marketing and finance to ensure alignment and support for store expansions and proper maintenance.
Reporting and Analysis : Tracking key performance metrics, analyzing from data pool of all existing stores, preparing reports for board of directors, and making data-driven decisions to adjust strategies as needed
Essential Duties:
Lead, plan, and participate site surveys for real estate selection. Set up site surveys for executive management. Prepare presentations for board approval on specific real estate deals. Ensure the real estate transactions meet the financial and operating objectives and strategies of the company. Work cross functionally with inter-departments (Construction, Compliance, Mechanics, etc.) during the store development process. Ability to project manage design/architecture and construction. Coordinate schematics with operations, planning, real estate, and LP team during the design and construction phase. Value engineer to optimize the cost performance of company facilities. Responsible for reviewing all construction and permitting related contracts and signing off on change orders. Manage to obtain required licenses and permits in a timely matter for new store. Manage to keep the licenses and permits of existing stores in good standing. Other assignments that may be assigned from time to time from the Board of Directors Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred in any of following fields: business development, construction, design, or project management. Extensive management experience (5-10 years preferred) in real estate, store development, architectural, construction retail, and or customer service industry. Proven track record of managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
