Job Description:
The primary objective of this position is to organize, plan, and conduct all required training for Billing Center employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Train employees on user functions of computer systems: GE/IDX BAR, ETM, OnBase, MRTS, Denial Management System (DMS), ChartSwap, etc. Acquire and maintain through knowledge and understanding of all user functions within computer systems. Regularly spend time performing staff job functions to stay current on required knowledge of systems and processes. Prepare individual report cards on all staff who complete training. Ensure that all work performed by trainees during training is completed according to company quality standards. Meet regularly with department management to ensure all training is meeting their needs and expectations. Provide and/or coordinate all other Billing Center training. Develop and keep current all training materials and maintain supplies used in training. Assist with system upgrade/enhancement testing for all systems, including the coordination of any needed departmental level testing within the Billing Center. Provide any needed training to BC staff resulting from system upgrades or enhancements. Work in coordination with the Administrative Supervisor to train Department Safety Coordinators and plan biannual evacuation drills. Provide assistance/back-up support for the IDX Supervisor. Perform other duties as required by Billing Center Vice President.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma: some college preferred Three or more years' experience in medical billing Knowledge of GE/IDX billing system strongly preferred Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Exceptional organizational skills Professional appearance and demeanor Exceptional oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Demonstrated sound judgment and leadership skills Ability to make occasional trips to Health Care Financial Services for training and development related to HCFS software applications SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting Occasional standing/bending Occasional lifting/carrying (20lbs or less) Some travel locally and overnight Moderate stress Prolonged sitting Prolonged work on a PC/computer Prolonged telephone work This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
