About the Role:
The Bay Area Panthers, a premier professional football team, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Game Day Presentation & Operations to join our team. This pivotal role reports to the Team President and involves game presentation, live events and general office operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating rich, engaging, and interactive fan experiences at major events, with a particular focus on sporting events.
Key Responsibilities:
Game Day Presentation
Lead the creation, planning, and production of all game presentation features and elements, including run of show, live integrations, digital boards, etc.
Create staff schedule for all Panthers home games and lead gameday staff assignments based on run of show
Hire, train and manage all game day entertainment teams
Source, organize, and execute all gameday talent assignments based on run of show
Write pre-game and in-game scripts for talent
Ensure seamless execution of sponsored and non-sponsored entertainment to be implemented at home games, including theme and heritage night pre- and in-game features, food and beverage locations, retail offerings, alumni appearances, and unique experiences for fans to participate in
Develop and write scripts for Public Address Announcer and talent and submit to Closed Captioning partner for display on in-stadium videoboard
Assist with the logistics and execution of pre-game on-field experiences and entertainment with departmental personnel and participants/performers
Prepare game day timing documents and memos for distribution to staff, officials, and broadcast partners which details all pre-game and in-game elements, experiences, and entertainment
Coordinate logistics, ticket requests, and hospitality for entertainers, performers, and celebrities
Prepare and maintain department budgets, including the tracking and recording of invoices and purchase requisitions
Lead the game day social media activation (Tagboard) on the videoboards, including the selection of content and implementation of in-game features
Partner with SAP Center operations department on the creation and execution of arena policies and programs to facilitate compliance, including on-field access and waiver submission
Research professional and collegiate teams across all major sports to remain informed and up to date on current industry trends, technology, and popular entertainment ideas that can be implemented into the game day experience
Lead the development and maintenance of the Game Presentation catalog which contains historical and current features and ideas available to be added to the game day run of show as sponsored or non-sponsored content
Live Events
Create plan and lead execution for Open Tryouts/Training Camp, including, but not limited to creating event schedules, securing vendors, coordinating with local government officials, etc.
Collaborate with adjacent Panthers departments on the creation and execution of Player Media Day, including, but not limited to capturing content for linear, digital and game day purposes
Coordinate with Football operations on securing players, talent, etc. to support in marketing programming (e.g. parades), sponsor events, etc.
Office Operations and Team Collaboration
Support the Team President in day-to-day management of the Bay Area Panthers office
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organization
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Game Day Presentation and operations
Proven track record of creating immersive game experiences for fans
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative game day experiences
Experience in event planning and management
Passion for sports and an understanding of the football industry
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days
