Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our peopleJob SummaryAs a sous chef, you will play a crucial role in the successful operation of the culinary department, overseeing food preparation and cooking for a high volume of customers (3,000 individuals per service). You will collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop daily menu items, ensure quality control, and assist with ordering.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and account expenditures.Plan and create innovative menus and execute catering events.Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with the marketing and culinary teams.Supervise hourly associates and contribute to menu development.Preferred Qualifications:A.S. degree or equivalent experience.Progressive culinary and kitchen management experience.Catering experience is a plus.Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable.Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking.Strong understanding of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet usage.Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives.ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
