A thriving manufacturing company in Athens, GA is seeking a Plant Controller to join their growing team. This role focuses on heavy financial reporting, analysis, and month-end closings while providing financial insights to support plant operations. This individual will be responsible for financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reporting, and maintaining fixed asset records. This position is 100% onsite and offers a collaborative, family-oriented work environment with opportunities for career growth. Plant Controller Responsibilities: Lead and manage financial reporting for the plant, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Perform in-depth balance sheet reconciliations and adjustments Prepare and analyze P&L reports and provide actionable insights to leadership Conduct month-end closings and ensure accurate financial presentations Maintain and update fixed asset records Collaborate with other departments, including cost accounting, to ensure alignment on financial objectives Utilize advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, v-lookups, and more) to support reporting and analysis Plant Controller Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and complex modeling Experience in financial reporting, month-end closings, and fixed asset management Manufacturing industry experience (preferred but not required) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Benefits:
