POSITION:
Systems Support Specialist
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Director of Application Services
JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems vital for patient care, administrative functions, and overall efficiency throughout the organization. Primary responsibility is to provide technical support for various applications/systems including maintenance, configuration, implementation and deployment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: Respond promptly to technical issues reported by staff via email and help desk system, diagnosing and resolving problems related to computer systems, software applications, etc. Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and performance of healthcare systems. This involves installing software updates, applying security patches, and performing system upgrades as needed to keep technology infrastructure up-to-date and compliant with industry regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). Provide training and guidance to healthcare staff on the proper use of systems and software applications. Assist with onboarding new employees, educating them on IT policies, security protocols, and best practices for utilizing technology in patient care and administrative tasks. Work closely with all relevant depts to integrate new technology solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability and compatibility across different platforms. This may involve testing software interfaces, configuring system settings, and troubleshooting integration issues to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance patient care delivery. Master all system configuration and workflow processes. Analyze workflow processes within healthcare departments and identify opportunities for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and productivity. Facilitate change management processes related to the implementation of new systems, software upgrades, or workflow changes. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of changes on workflows, communicate effectively with end-users to manage expectations, and provide training and support to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruptions to operations. Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes. Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline. Models the AP Code of Conduct and demonstrates a commitment to the AP Compliance Program, standards and policies. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands are moderate with occasional lifting of items weighing approximately 20-30 pounds. Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and vision must be correctable to normal range to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in business systems within a healthcare environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with excellent problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and train staff at all levels. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in healthcare systems, such as HIPAA and HITECH Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results and meeting organizational objectives.
