Small, thriving 30-year old print distributorship located in Greer, SC is looking for highly motivated warehouse person to assist our warehouse manager. Applicant must be a team player that has good communication and organizational skills. Applicant must also desire to work for a small company.
Position: Full Time Warehouse Assistant
Company Hours: 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch Monday - Friday
Starting Salary: $45,000/year (Temp to permanent position) – Hourly Pay: $21.63

Summary/Objective
The warehouse assistant is responsible for helping the manager with receiving, picking/packing, and shipping of daily orders. Must take pride in keeping and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse. Clean driving record a must due to needing to make some deliveries in company van. Forklift certification is a plus.
Essential Functions
- Positive attitude and self-motivated is a must
- Working knowledge of UPS Worldship, (domestic and international) – not essential but a plus
- Working knowledge of FedEx shipping (domestic and international) – not essential but a plus
- Proficient in forklift operations.
- Ability to make deliveries
- Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, band strappers, shrink tunnel, pallet jack, hand truck and forklift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear clearly. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands arms to handle, feel, reach and carry printed products.
Travel
There will be some delivery to local customers. A company truck and/or van will be provided. Truck is small so CDL is not required.
Required Education and Experience
- Prior warehouse experience a plus.
- Applicant must have some computer skills. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs is helpful.
- Candidate must be able to learn other database computer programs.
- Candidate having prior forklift operation experience a plus.

Communication skills. Small company environment must have team members with strong communication skills to answer customers clearly. They must understand and communicate information effectively by phone, or in person.
Interpersonal skills. Keeping positive interactions with team members while communicating vital information is an essential part of a small company environment.
Listening skills. Warehouse personnel must listen carefully and understand a customer’s situation to help them.
Patience. Workers should be patient and polite, especially when interacting with difficult customers.
Problem-solving skills. Warehouse personnel, working with the warehouse manager, must determine solutions to a customer’s problem. Resolving issues effectively contribute to customer loyalty and retention.
