The firm’s work can be found across the globe with projects as wide-ranging as huts to high rises, homes—often for art collectors—to academic, cultural and civic projects, museums and exhibition design, places of worship, creative production, urban design, and interior design.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Manage the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Oversee and manage corporate credit cards
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline the accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency and maintain internal controls.
- Oversee relationships with vendors, including communication about invoice discrepancies, payment terms negotiation, and resolving issues promptly.
- Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to address issues and improve cross-functional processes related to credit card processing, expense reports, and other accounts payable functions.
Month-End Close, Reporting and Analysis and Compliance
- Manage the accounts payable team to meet monthly close and billing deadlines
- Review all work produced by the accounts payable team for accuracy and completeness and provide coaching for corrections as needed.
- Participate in the month-end close process, reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports
- Collaborates with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing documentation and support as needed.
Leadership and Development
- Provide leadership and mentorship, including training, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable staff.
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Finance, Business Administration or equivalent work-related experience
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant accounting experience in a supervisory role
- Advanced proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to accounts payable, including 1099 reporting, sales and use tax, and IRS regulations.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating a team to achieve goals.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
