We are a manufacturer of fresh label soups for many companies such as Walmart and Costco. We are currently seeking a Reach Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves receiving and managing raw ingredients and packaging supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation, and effectively utilizing an ERP application to maintain inventory accuracy and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Responsibilities- Receive raw ingredients and packaging supplies according to specified procurement and quality guidelines.
- Put away all raw ingredients and packaging supplies in the appropriate storage locations.
- Pick and transfer raw ingredients and packaging supplies from warehouse storage to operation departments as requested.
- Ensure proper rotation of raw ingredients, first expired – first out.
- Return ingredients and packaging supplies back to proper storage locations after usage.
- Transfer finished goods to rack locations and/or shipping docks.
- Pick, follow first in – first out, and ship finished goods via shuttles or direct to the customer in accordance with all quality and regulatory requirements.
- Effectively complete all the above-mentioned tasks through an ERP application.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse to include dry, frozen, and cooler storage, and all receiving and shipping docks as well as the finished goods cooler.
- Maintain strong working relations with warehouse and operations leads.
- Monitor the accuracy of inventory locations and tags.
- Effectively communicate inventory discrepancies and other issues to the lead and manager as appropriate.
- Practice safe forklift operating procedures.
- Maintain food safety practices.
- Monitor for safe load capacity on storage racks.
- Monitor safe storage procedures to eliminate workplace hazards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification
- Reach Truck experience
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
- Availability to work overtime and weekends on a seasonal basis
- Self-driven to address problems and find solutions head-on
- Willingness to rotate through different machine center areas throughout the shift
- Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward
- Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team
- Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Obsessive attention to detail, well organized and able to juggle many projects at once
- Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments

Work EnvironmentThis role is in a food production environment where PPE must be worn, including hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, gloves, and goggles. Employees must provide their own steel-toe boots. The environment is cold, with temperatures around 45 degrees.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, Washington.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
