We are seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join our team at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort.
Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Housekeeping responsibilities to oversee the operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry department on a daily basis while maintaining the structure and well-being of the department by controlling payroll costs, supply budgets, forecasting, and staffing guidelines.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and service experience in a luxury hotel and/or resort, with concentration within the housekeeping function.
- Minimum three (2) years’ experience in a Housekeeping Manager and/or Front Office Manager role at comparable resort property (quality, size, rate structure, amenities)
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, management, employees, and outside contractors to their understanding.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- College Graduate
- High aptitude for computer programs

- Knowledge and execution of effective office organizational practices.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Essential Skills:

- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.

- Ability to direct the performance of assigned staff and follow up with coaching and guidance to praise or make corrections.
- Ability to motivate and inspire assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team.
- Ability to ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
- Ability to focus attention on details.
- Ability to develop strong, productive, professional relationships with internal and external guests.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and perform job duties.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
- Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information and materials.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and provide immediate follow-up.
- Ability to practice detailed standardized accounting procedures to protect the assets of the hotel.
- Must have a professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills.
- Be an ambassador to Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa at all times, in and outside of the work place.
- Ability to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time, unsupervised. Should be aggressive and must work well under pressure.

- Ability to coherently present information in front of groups.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends holidays and evenings if necessary.
