Assistant or Associate Professor, Endocrinology
Cincinnati Children's, Burnet, TX, United States
Job Description
At Cincinnati Children's, we come to work with one goal: to make children's health better. We believe in a holistic team approach, both in caring for patients and their families, and in advancing science and discovery. We strive to do better and find energy and inspiration in our shared purpose. If you want to be the best you can be, you can do it at Cincinnati Children's.
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Has Been Named:
The Pediatric Endocrinology Division, ranked # 1 in U.S. News & World Report's 2023 edition, uses a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose, treat and manage the care of children and adolescents with a variety of common and rare endocrine conditions. As a division internationally recognized for research, we provide our physicians with a tremendous amount of support and mentorship to ensure professional growth and enable them to effectively treat children in their care. Therefore, we encourage clinicians with a specific research focus or interested in establishing an area of clinical specialty to join our team. The division provides a full range of modern diagnostic techniques in-house as many hormonal assays are run in our own laboratory and our institution. The division currently employs 22 clinical and research MD and/or PhD faculty, further supported by a large group of nurses, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, social workers, psychologists, and certified diabetes educators. The division currently has 12 fellows in training and has successfully matched all fellowship positions for the last 14 years through an ACGME-approved fellowship program.
The Department of Pediatrics is ranked #3 and Cincinnati Children's Hospital is ranked #1 on the 2023 in U.S. News & World Report's Best Medical Schools and America's Best Children's Hospitals, respectively. Among pediatric institutions, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is the second-highest ranking recipient of research grants from the National Institutes of Health. This gives us the unique opportunity to influence future generations and the care of adolescents and young adults.
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be certified or eligible for Certification in Pediatric Endocrinology, and a willingness to supervise the inpatient/consultation service and participate in the training of fellows, residents and medical students, in addition to providing outpatient clinical care at base and satellite clinics. Individuals with Med/Peds training are encouraged to apply. We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package, as well as assistance in moving to one of America's most livable cities. We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions or any other characteristic protected by law.
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is located in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Cincinnati is among the greatest cities to live and to work, offering affordable living, top ranked schools and childcare and a safe and fun community.
