Senior Accountant - Immediate Role in Irving Texas

The Hire Solution has partnered with a national food service client for the position of Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is a key growth position within the accounting team, reporting directly the Assistant Controller. In this role, the ideal candidate can expect to:

• Perform month end close functions including booking accruals, reviewing journal entries of Staff Accountants, doing account reconciliations, creating adjusting and closing journal entries, analysis and reporting
• Ensure general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, review work of more junior employees
• Evaluate trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances and provide explanations to management
• Assist field personnel with account analysis and research
• Complete necessary external audit requests from external auditors
• Help cover all areas of the accounting department including revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, accounts receivable, fixed assets, tax returns and audit support as needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
• Exceptional analytical, problem identification and problem-solving skills
• Organized and extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• 6+ years of accounting experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality highly desired
• Proficient using ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Dynamics or similar, with strong knowledge of Excel
• Multi-location, multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred

• Focused on supporting field operations with an internal customer service mindset
