We offer a comprehensive benefits package which features: Significant employer 403(b) contribution Public transportation subsidy Generous paid time off program Tuition reimbursement Wellness program Position Overview: The Internal Communications Specialist II is responsible for the hands-on day-to-day operation and management of the AAMC's intranet, ensuring it functions as a critical internal communication and collaboration tool. In addition, this role will support internal communications initiatives beyond the intranet platform. This position supports internal communications planning, driving key projects to enhance information flow across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of internal communications, a passion for managing digital platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Key Responsibilities: Manage Intranet Operations: Oversee the daily management of the AAMC's intranet, ensuring it functions as an effective communication and collaboration tool. This includes maintaining site navigation, visual design, and content structure to align with organizational goals. Support Internal Communications Initiatives: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies that promote key messages, updates, and projects across the intranet and other communication platforms. Content Strategy and Development: Act as a content strategist by guiding departments in creating and curating content that is engaging, clear, and aligned with internal communications objectives. User Engagement and Training: Provide training and support to employees on the use of the intranet, encouraging active participation. Monitor Technical Performance and Enhance User Experience: In partnership with the digital experience unit, monitor the intranet's technical performance and analyze user engagement metrics. What You'll Bring to the Role: Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (master's degree is a plus) or comparable experience. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 3-5 years of experience in managing intranet platforms or internal communications. Collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to create and manage digital content and platforms. Strong experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and understanding of HTML/CSS. Ability to analyze user engagement metrics. Technical proficiency in troubleshooting platform issues. Strong organizational skills and project management abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in writing for the web and other digital channels. Familiarity with the Interact Intranet platform. Experience with Salesforce in Marketing Cloud. Familiarity with web design tools. Experience with SEO optimization and Google Analytics. Understanding of change management or project management. Advanced skills in using metrics dashboards to measure engagement. Remote Work Eligibility: This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US. Compensation: Grade Range: $58,900.00 - $103,500.00 / Grade Mid-Point: $81,200.00. The AAMC's compensation philosophy is to target the midpoint of the salary range.
