Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Just-in-Time (JIT) principles, demand forecasting, working days, and stock-out management, along with a grasp of production planning. Advanced Excel skills are essential, as this role requires expertise in using formulas and data analysis to optimize purchasing and inventory management.
The Buyer will be responsible for procuring materials for our production facility, adapting supply plans to forecast changes and customer demands. They will work closely with the supply chain and production teams to manage capacity constraints and ensure product availability aligns with customer expectations. Securing materials and services at competitive cost, quality, and delivery standards in line with company policy and performance goals is key to this role.

Securing materials and services at competitive cost, quality, and delivery standards in line with company policy and performance goals is key to this role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage purchase orders and amendments for parts, services, and specialized tools; coordinate sample product submissions and inspections as required.
- Collaborate closely with plant engineering and production to ensure timely sourcing and resolution of supply issues, maintaining efficient inventory control.
- Plan and schedule the timely receipt and inventory control of products to prevent stock-outs and maintain optimal production flow.
- Possess a deep knowledge of purchasing policies, warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain management.
- Engage with current and prospective suppliers to assess capabilities, logistics, and inventory management; secure and analyze competitive quotations.
- Coordinate quality and engineering changes or developments between suppliers and internal teams.
- Conduct site visits to suppliers as needed to assess new sources and assist in resolving any production, quality, or delivery issues.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CPP).
- 3-5 years of experience in a buying/sourcing role, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in complex formulas and data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a proactive approach to decision-making.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues at a functional level.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
