Job Title: MRI Technologist Job Specialty: Radiology/Cardiology - MRI Tech Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 5 years of recent relevant experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: CRT, ARMRIT (MRI), ARRT (MRI), BLS Must-Have: Epic experience preferred Job Description: - Perform routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention. - Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures. - Gain confidence and cooperation from patients and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. - Adhere to local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety in delivering optimal patient care. - Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment and ensure tasks are completed within departmental time frames. - Prepare for and assist physicians in diagnostic MRI and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures. - Explain and educate patients on procedures, medications, contrast media, and associated effects in a professional manner. - Mentor and foster a positive environment to help students and new technologists build confidence in their skills. - Perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phones, updating patient appointments, and maintaining electronic health records. - Prepare and complete accurate documentation related to patients and procedures. - Inventory and order accessories and supplies to maintain stock levels. - Implement protection devices and safety standards to minimize exposure to self, staff, and patients. - Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment. - Inspect and calibrate equipment for proper operation and record quality control results.
