Job Title: Field Engineer / Operations Engineer – Cable Lay/Installation Projects

Location: New England Region (Offshore)

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment

Overview:
Our client, a leader in the offshore wind and floating wind industry, is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support their cable lay and cable installation projects in the New England area. This role involves working closely with the Project Management Team supporting cable lay operations for floating wind projects;overseeing the execution of project activities, and ensuring compliance with procedures and plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate cable lay and installation operations onboard the cable lay vessel for execution
• Work remotely and in-office review and implement project procedures, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.
• Assist in the planning, organizing, and execution of offshore project activities.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues to maintain timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with vessel and project teams to ensure efficient operations and successful project delivery.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving during installation phases.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cable lay, umbilicals, or flexibles - installation projects.
• Strong understanding of offshore wind/floating wind project requirements and operations - highly desired
• Proven ability to work in offshore environments, including on vessels.
• Must be ok with to/from NE Coast and occassional travel offshore to oversee scopes of work.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
