Job Description
A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. The candidate will be responsible for various shipping and warehouse duties including restocking inventory, dispatching, and managing overstock.
Responsibilities- Load and unload materials from trucks
- Break down boxes and package items for shipment
- Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders
- Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed
- Package items for shipment to local branches
- Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry (rolling stairs may range from 7-15 steps long)
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders (5-7 steps, occasionally 15 ft stair ladder)
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as well as working individually (self-motivated)
The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklifts and other machinery running through the facility. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime of up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. The schedule is 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Employees are required to wear plain shirts, jeans (no holes), and closed-toed shoes. No logos for beer, alcohol, etc., are allowed on attire.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
