Power Test Engineer: Required Skills and Experience 1 years’ experience in Test Automation : Including planning, assessments, and script development (internship experience accepted) Proficiency with test equipment : Such as oscilloscopes, digital voltage meters, and phase gain analyzers Analytical skills : Ability to analyze input/output voltage, current, and power Experience with programmable AC sources : Working or testing with AC/DC & DC/DC circuits Understanding of power supply control theory Residency : Must live and work near Austin, TX Professional and technical competence : Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-direction, responsibility, team player, high maturity level, customer-focused, and highly motivated Nice to Have Skills and Experience Educational background : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years as a power validation engineer at the component level Interpersonal skills : Professional written and interpersonal communication skills when interacting with team members and the engineering team Job Description The Business Entity Join us in developing and testing the next generation of industry-leading Ethernet Switches for Enterprise & Campus Access/Core segments. Role & Responsibilities Conduct system performance testing to ensure reliability, capacity, and scalability Collaborate with the testing team to develop performance test plans and cases Perform and analyze power test cases, review results, and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes Debug complex issues at both system and component levels, including CPU, ASICs, FPGAs, and power supplies Leverage automation to implement test strategies and improve productivity Ensure product compliance with internal specifications and industry standards Provide detailed issue mitigation and drive issues to closure Document test plans, procedures, and test reports Assist in root cause analysis and support customer escalations Pay Rate: $35-40/hour Start Date: ASAP Interview Process: 1-hour panel “meet and greet” with the team lead and two managers Location: Fully Onsite in San Jose, CA (5 days a week)
