Description
Under the direction of an Application Manager, the Application Analyst performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications and the associated UCLA issued hardware. They design, build, test, and support new applications, modules, and hardware within their portfolio and/or service line. The Analyst must achieve in-depth knowledge of the software application, hardware, and operational workflows, as well as understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operation supported by the application. The Analyst works with business owners, vendors, and ISS team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests. The application analyst will also be required to receive training, and establish as well as maintain working competency with the JAMF application in addition to working in collaboration with the Unified Communications Team, Mobile Device Team, Refresh Team, and Endpoint Operations Team. The application analyst will be required to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the patient and staff workflows with the associated hardware and software applications through direct observation and training on-site in the UCLA Health Hospitals, Nursing Units, and Patient Rooms. Additionally the application analyst will complete regular hardware and software application testing both remotely and on-site as needed for changes and as part of a regular testing practice to maintain reliable technology solutions for the business owners. Applications Supported: This position will primarily support MyChart, Mychart Bedside, Bedside iPad and Apple TV Applications, as well as education and entertainment applications used by patients associated with the MyChart Bedside program. Additional training and cross coverage for other applications within the team portfolio may include secondary support of: Epic Welcome, Hello World, Campaigns and Haiku/Canto. This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 10-20% of the time, within 24 hours of being asked to come on site, or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.
Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $102500 - $227,700 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between $120,000 -$157,000 annually. As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer. Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrate proficiency with information systems technology, which also includes Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other systems. Demonstrated skill in system workflow and business process flow analysis and design. Bachelor's Degree in health care information technology, computer science or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training. Three years of experience in a healthcare related organization.
