The Solution Architect – Enterprise Integration will be responsible for designing and overseeing enterprise-level integration architectures to support interoperability across complex IT environments. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that connect cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data exchanges. This individual will play a critical role in aligning integration strategies with business needs, driving digital transformation, and enhancing the agility of our technology ecosystem.
Essential Job Duties
Define and implement the overall integration architecture for the organization, encompassing data, applications, and systems across cloud and on-premises environments
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design integration solutions that align with business goals, ensuring seamless data flow, process automation, and operational efficiency
Develop and document integration patterns, architecture diagrams, data flows, and system interfaces that support reusable and scalable integration solutions
Provide technical leadership for the design, configuration, and management of middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, IBM WebSphere, TIBCO) and APIs to facilitate seamless communication between systems
Provide technical leadership for the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of integration platforms and solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability
Define API standards, governance, and lifecycle management practices to ensure consistent and secure access to data and services
Provide solution assurance during the implementation of integrations (API/Microservices, EDI, etc.) that enable scalable and data exchange and interoperability between applications, enhancing system agility and reducing dependencies
Serve as the technical lead on enterprise integration projects, working closely with developers, data engineers, business analysts, and the business to deliver high-quality integration solutions
Partner with IT and business teams to assess integration needs, identify potential system enhancements, and drive adoption of integration best practices across the organization
Establish and enforce integration governance, security protocols, and data management practices to safeguard sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance
Implement robust error-handling, logging, and monitoring processes to maintain data integrity and operational visibility across integration workflows
Identify and address bottlenecks, scalability concerns, and performance issues within the integration architecture
Continuously evaluate emerging integration technologies and practices, recommending improvements that drive innovation and enhance the organization’s digital capabilities
Create comprehensive technical documentation for integration solutions, including data mappings, process flows, and API documentation
Provide training and knowledge transfer to development teams and end-users on integration technologies, standards, and best practices
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in solution architecture with a focus on enterprise integration, middleware, and data connectivity
Proficiency in integration and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, TIBCO, Cleo Integration Cloud, or IBM WebSphere, as well as familiarity with modern integration tools (REST APIs, SOAP, microservices, messaging queues)
Strong experience with API design and management, including API gateways and security protocols
Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures
Excellent understanding of integration patterns (ESB, EDA, SOA) and data exchange formats (XML, JSON, EDI)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to architect scalable, secure, and efficient integration solutions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
Certification in Solution Architecture, Integration platforms, or Cloud technologies (e.g., TOGAF, MuleSoft Certified Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration deployment
Familiarity with data management and analytics platforms (e.g., ETL, data warehouses, data lakes)
