Behavioral Health APRN - Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC)

The Community Behavioral Health Center is a provider model serving as an entry point for timely, flexible, evidence-based treatment for mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders for MassHealth members of all ages. The Riverside centers in Milford and Norwood will serve as two of 25 different CBHCs across the Commonwealth, with integrated teams of nurses, clinicians, peers, and case coordinators providing routine and urgent outpatient care, as well as 24/7 community-based crisis intervention as an alternative to hospital emergency departments.

We are looking for a passionate APRN to join our highly collegial and multidisciplinary team to provide clinical and medication management of assigned caseload within the CBHC Component.

In this vital role, the APRN Functions as a prescriber to individuals in need of psychiatric and medication assisted treatment, medical consultant to staff and collaterals and as is an active participant in CBHC team meetings. The APRN is responsible for a set of medical duties as identified by CBHC requirements or other programmatic needs. May provide clinical or medical supervision to other nursing staff and interns while under the supervision of a Medical Director.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Saturday scheduling need

Primarily on-site with some remote work available; requires one week on-call every 8 weeks or as needed.

Rate: $90.17/hourly

Required Skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office

Required Experience

Master’s Degree in Nursing with certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry; Additional mental health related degree at master’s level strongly preferred.

Four years experience working within specific clinical license

Must maintain a valid DEA license

If performing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) as part of duties, prescriber will complete the training for an X waiver, apply for one, obtain it, and add it to their DEA number, taking necessary steps to keep the waiver up to date. They will follow the required patient cap limit of MAT patients over delineated periods of time as mandated by regulation.

Must meet all requirements to maintain an active professional license in nursing, including, but not limited to, continuing education, ethical requirements, etc.
