We are partnering with an exciting nonprofit within the architecture industry in the search for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support a major conference in Washington, DC, as a part-time Tour Consultant. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of educational tours for a high-profile conference in June 2025. This role is mostly remote with an in person expectation during the conference. They are looking for someone to start ASAP and planned to work at least 1 month post conference. The role is part-time with a schedule of 20-25 hours per week. This role would be great for a person completing a post grad degree looking for part-time work. As the Tour Consultant, you will collaborate closely with the event's educational programming team to manage and execute a robust tour program. This includes working with tour organizers, overseeing logistics, coordinating volunteers, and providing on-site support during the conference. The role requires an independent and organized professional with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. The ideal candidate will have: Familiarity with tools like eShow is a plus. Strong background in event planning or logistics coordination. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities Tour Coordination and Planning:

Serve as the primary point of contact for tour organizers and volunteers. Confirm participation and collect necessary documentation from tour organizers. Review and refine tour itineraries and descriptions to align with educational objectives. Develop and finalize a comprehensive tour schedule.

Logistics Management:

Coordinate transportation, accommodations, and other logistical needs for tours. Communicate with vendors and partners to ensure smooth execution. Address logistical challenges during planning and execution.

Orientation and Volunteer Management:

Plan and deliver orientation sessions for tour organizers and volunteers (conducted twice). Oversee and guide Tour Host/Lounge Volunteers during the conference.

On-Site Support (June 4–7, 2025):

Oversee the execution of the tour program. Address on-site issues or emergencies. Collect feedback for post-event evaluation.

Salary:

$25/hr Benefits information available upon first interview.
