Dewberry is currently seeking a
Senior Site/Civil Engineer/Manager
for its Land Development operation. This opportunity is open in any of our Maryland offices (Lanham, Baltimore, Rockville, and Frederick) with the expectation of some travel to the other Dewberry offices. This position requires ten (10) plus years of experience in civil design of land development activities including: design of grading, storm water management, soil erosion & sediment control, public and private roadways, storm drainage and water & sewer design. The selected candidate will become part of a growing team that provides complete, comprehensive land development services to a variety of clients. This position requires subject matter knowledge and a breadth/depth of experience to move projects from concept to completion including design work, plan and permit processing, and construction phase services. Individual will be responsible for preparation and coordination of all Land Development design aspects; work closely with Project Manager and agency staff; and supervise internal junior staff. Responsibilities
Supervise a multi-discipline team designing and developing construction plans for site civil/infrastructure projects Specific work may include, but is not limited to: Client communication Budget oversight and responsibility Construction document (plan and specifications) and technical reports preparation and/or oversight Engineering analyses and cost estimates Quality control/quality assurance to deliver a quality design product Management of project team to bring project from concept, permitting, design, construction, and post-construction phases Establish milestones and completion dates for projects and monitor progress for final evaluation of results Other duties as required Required Skills & Experience
BS Degree in Civil Engineering PE in the state of Maryland preferred Ten (10) plus years of experience directly related to the design and execution of land development projects in Frederick, Maryland, greater Baltimore, MD, and Washington, DC metro area preferred Preparation of graphics, exhibits, and site/civil construction plans Strong technical capabilities in various Software Applications including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
