SONIFI Health provides interactive services to over 30,000 rooms across 130 hospitals throughout the United States. Position Summary:
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing the product backlog and ensuring the development team has a clear understanding of the product vision and goals. You will partner with product managers, cross-functional stakeholders, and customers to prioritize feature development with the highest impact for users. You will create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and approve feature development in releases. You will own the process of distilling business value and goals into refined product backlogs.
Essential Functions:
Defining and prioritizing backlog items and product features, ensuring they are aligned with the product vision and goals developed in partnership with product management.
Develops strong knowledge of SONIFI products to understand how to create impactful features to support our overall vision and strategy.
Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and understand issues to be addressed through technology enhancements.
Creating clearly written user stories and acceptance criteria, enabling the development and testing team to operate at high velocity and deliver high quality code.
Serve as the go-to product resource for the development and testing teams, focused on removing impediments and clarifying development goals when needed.
Participating in agile ceremonies, including daily scrum meetings, grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews with the product development team.
Assessing and addressing product quality issues as necessary.
Providing product documentation and supporting the creation of training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring, tracking and reporting on progress of assigned products throughout the year.
Serves as technology needs point of contact for business, maintaining a strong and collaborative relationship with all stakeholders.
Contributing to refinements of SONIFI Health’s software development process as needed.
Foster a collaborative and transparent team culture, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
Know How:
Minimum of 3 years of Healthcare IT solution experience strongly preferred.
Proficient using Atlassian products for software development, including Jira and Confluence.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, marketing, or technical field and five or more years minimum relevant work experience in software applications product management, software development, or similar function is required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Proven ability to aggregate, organize, and analyze data to drive product decisions.
Expertise in writing product requirements and detailed acceptance criteria.
Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional and remote teams.
Process-minded with ability to adapt and implement change management when needed.
