Our client seeks a professional with demonstrated technical expertise in implementing automation solutions utilizing PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms. Exceptional communication skills are essential for this position. Client’s Position Overview Technical Expertise : Proficiency in implementing automation solutions with PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms. Customer Interaction & Team Leadership : Engage directly with customers to identify requirements and develop specifications. Lead a team to implement, test, commission, and qualify automation solutions. Leadership & Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving, project management, and people skills. Focus on business efficiency and fostering partnerships. Customer Success : Secure repeat work from new and existing customers through quality service delivery. Role and Responsibilities Automation Solutions & Design : Deliver innovative automation solutions individually or as a team leader. Develop control system architecture, select components, design schematics, and program controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU). Program HMI/SCADA, create historical data databases, and commission systems at client sites. Proficiency in controller programming languages (Ladder, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text) required. Knowledge of VBA, .NET, and SQL for HMI/SCADA development preferred. Industrial Networking : Design and implement industrial networks using Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc. Experience with fiber, wired, and wireless systems preferred. Project Management : Develop project execution plans, budgets, and schedules. Manage tasks, track progress, report financials, and resolve conflicts. Lead teams and oversee daily operations for projects up to $1M. Leadership & Technical Expertise : Diverse engineering skillset with the ability to work independently. Act as technical lead or Project Manager on smaller projects. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians. Experience of Candidate & Required Qualifications 12+ years of experience in quality engineering, including leadership roles. Demonstrated expertise in conducting enterprise quality assessments and driving large-scale transformations. Proficiency in quality tools, frameworks, and technologies such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, JMeter, TestNG, Jenkins, and others. Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD processes. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Control, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science required. Competence & Skills Technical Skills : Expertise in PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon) and HMI/SCADA systems (GE iFIX, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, Siemens). Proficient in DCS systems (Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell PlantPAx). Familiarity with electrical schematics, NEC references, and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of IT/OT networking and automation protocols (HART, Fieldbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP). Experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle). Leadership & Mentorship : Experience leading and mentoring teams of engineers/technicians. Proven ability to manage and guide automation projects effectively. Communication : Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
